9-1-1 Additional Information Page
This information page has been created to inform residents of John Day and Grant County about the efforts the city has taken to address the growing deficit in providing 9-1-1 services.
Since 2015, the John Day City Council and City of John Day staff have actively solicited 9-1-1 tax reform to ensure critical public safety communications are available in a cost effective manner for all Grant County residents. The official documentation on these efforts is provided below. It includes the:
- 9-1-1 Information Brief
- 2015 City Council Resolution on 9-1-1 funding deficits
- Memos from the John Day City Manager on the need for 9-1-1 tax reform and proposed cost sharing agreements sent to Grant County Commission
- Request letters to elected officials
- 2016 Annual John Day Public Safety Report
- State regulations and statutes on operations of the Office of Emergency Management (OEM)
- Map of current OEM Public Safety Answering Points
