2024 Election for 3 City Council Positions
CITY OF JOHN DAY
NOTICE OF FILING DEADLINE FOR
NOVEMBER 2024 ELECTION - CITY COUNCIL POSITIONS
Notice is hereby given, under the provisions of Ordinance 94-79-5, adopted June 28, 1994, the filing deadline for persons wishing to run for City Councilor (3 open positions) must be submitted to the City of John Day at 450 E Main St, by 4:00 p.m., August 13, 2024; to be on the November 5, 2024 ballot.
Candidate Filing Form SEL 101 and Candidate Nominating Petition Form SEL 121 will be available online at www.cityofjohnday.com.
Candidate Nominating Petition form shall contain at least twenty-five signatures of qualified electors residing in the city that are registered to vote.
If a nominating petition is not used and an individual wishes to declare their candidacy for city office, a fee of $50.00 must be paid to the City of John Day by the filing deadline.
