Public Nuisance Enforcement
The City is preparing to pursue enforcement actions against John Day property owners, who we believe are in violation of one of more aspects of the Public Nuisance Ordinance.
The Ordinance is available at city hall, or at this link.
Typical violations include:
-
accumulation of waste in flood area;
-
accumulation of feces/manure outside of sealed containers;
-
burning of garbage;
-
keeping excess junk or neglected/wrecked vehicles;
-
derelict structures;
-
pest infestations;
-
noxious or dry vegetation and/or trees.
